2025 Strawberries Commodity Levy Order

Strawberry Growers New Zealand Inc. consulted with potential levy payers, during June and July 2025, on a proposal for a new strawberry commodity levy to continue to fund the work we do for growers. The growers voted for an increase to the levy to $28 per thousand plants, from March 2026.

The levy funds activities, including:

• biosecurity
• research and development
• food safety
• export market access and intelligence
• strawberry plant evaluation
• industry representation
• management and administration of SGNZ.
