Supply Season

The strawberry business in New Zealand is seasonal, generally starting in mid-September to April, with an intense peak mid-November/early December.

With indoor growing of strawberries increasing the supply season is lengthening.

Frozen strawberries are available all year round and are enjoyed by many people in smoothies and other drinks.

Some strawberries are also imported from Australia and USA mainly during June – September, prior to New Zealand strawberries becoming available.
